This is what social media uptake looked like in New Zealand in the middle of 2010. This was created while trialling Virtual Assistant company GetFriday. Following some initial research, I asked them to see how they could put that data into an infographic. I’m quite pleased with the result:

These figures don’t look right. Puts Facebook adoption in Auckland at almost 100% but adoption in Wellington ~30% and Christchurch ~25%?

Very curious. You’re quite right. I’ve absolutely no evidence to the contrary but Facebook’s figures seem way out. Auckland has about 30% of NZ’s population, but 83% of the country’s Facebook users?
